The Zen of Motorcycling in California I have included motorcyle links at the bottom of the page. In Southern California, we are in the Tri-Valley Touring Riders MC, formerly an old Goldwing group. This group rides on the first and third Sunday of each month and meets at the Sycamore Chevron off the 118 freeway in Simi Valley. If interested, contact me or Sandy (find her on the TVTR website - link at the bottom of the page). The group rides generally from 9:00 am to some place nice for lunch, but we still have weekend trips on occasion as well. The Northern California link I know of is the Golden Eagles MC, ran by my parents for over a decade. This club does many scenic rides and plans something on virtually every weekend. They ride about the same as we do, however, since they are rained out up North much more often than we are down South. If interested in a good club up there, contact the Golden Eagle's former President. Guests are welcome at both clubs which are more mature clubs, respecting safety and courtesy at all times.

This site offers researchers a source of information on the various branches which have led to the core of the Chastain Family of Califonia. In putting the site together and linking pages, I must thank the persons who have helped collect, sort, evaluate and analzye this information. Specifically, Sheila Chastain, who helped at all phases of my Chastain research, especially while trying to connect William Newton to John Withrow. Geraldine "Gerre" Buland, the genealogist for the Pierre Chastain Family Association was also very helpful. Alvin, Arlene and Marlyce were very supportive as well . . . contributing source material and evaluating conclusions made.
